They are handcrafted from 2 layers of metal. The background metal is handpainted in a graphic pattern of red, black and white.
Then, this is covered with an overlay of silver toned metal - in a pattern remembling the sun and a landscape. That's why I say these are inspired by nature.
They also remind me a little of a woodpecker's coloring (I know I'm a little wierd, but truly, this color combo is one of nature's tried and true BEST!
