About the Gallery

The Washington Post said we were “cool”. Our building, a mid 1800’s Italianate Victorian, is the only free standing structure of its kind in Alexandria. Purchased in 2007, our renovations preserved the antique floors, molding & windows. We recycled the building’s old front door & interior doors by making an art-display of them, a very cool renovation idea, because it give us more display space while preserving history at the same time.

About our name, OERTH Gallery. It’s our family name. Co-owned by 2 sisters. Linda, an Electrical Engineer /MBA, has the brains, while Lorraine, a mad-artist type, has the creativity.

We’re located in the historic district of Old Town Alexandria (just outside of Washington DC). Our near neighbors include Alexandria’s finest day spas, beauty salons, Williams Sonoma, & Balducci’s. One mile from Metro Rail, 4 blocks South of King Street. A short cab ride from National Airport.
